Have you ever wondered why we believe what we believe? Have you ever asked\, Why did I stop learning about my faith when I was a child? Our parish\, Blessed Sacrament\, is  offering a wonderful opportunity to develop and deepen your relationship with God and the Church by exploring our Catholic faith.\n\n\n\nWe have established an adult formation group which meets in person fortnightly\, growing in faith together.  We meet on a Tuesday evening at 7.00pm in our Richard Reynolds Centre. We began with films from Bishop Robert Barron’s ‘Word on Fire’ series. The films covered a wide range of faith themes such as The Mass\, The Saints and The Sacraments. Exploring these\, together with lively and stimulating conversation\, and of course\, lots of coffee and tea!\, opened our minds to the riches of our faith and the treasures of the Church’s teaching. \nWe are now moving onto a new format\, but still exploring aspects of the Catholic faith with talks\, films and discussion. It gives everyone\, from members of the Parish to non church goers\, the opportunity to get together for a lunch and a chat. Currently we offer a main course\, dessert and tea or coffee. Please call Clyde or Di Bish on 07940 142124 for details. \nWe also organise trips throughout the year to various places – for example the theatre and local gardens. Please come along and join us – it’s a great chance to meet new people and hopefully make new friends.

Have you ever wondered why we believe what we believe? Have you ever asked\, Why did I stop learning about my faith when I was a child? Our parish\, Blessed Sacrament\, is  offering a wonderful opportunity to develop and deepen your relationship with God and the Church by exploring our Catholic faith.\n\n\n\nWe have established an adult formation group meeting in person fortnightly\, to grow in faith together. We meet on a Tuesday evening at 7.00pm in our Richard Reynolds centre. We watch and discuss films from Bishop Robert Barron’s ‘Word on Fire’ series. The films cover a wide range of faith themes such as The Mass\, The Saints and The Sacraments. Whether you are already engaged with your faith and the Church\, looking for a way to become more engaged or seeking the sacraments for your child\, GIFT is for you. Encouraging you to pray\, talk about faith issues\, and have more family time together is good\, but we believe it is not enough. We want to provide a place for you to learn what engaging with your faith actually looks like and then give you the opportunity to do it! \nSaturday family sessionsFamilies are invited to come along on the first Saturday of each month (mostly). The sessions are engaging\, spirit-filled and fun\, and they are for all the family – even Grandma! We celebrate Mass\, enjoy a time of fellowship and refreshment before sharing catechesis and activities. Each month we explore a different topic e.g.\, The Saints\, Epiphany\, Lent\, Holy Week. \nFaith Formation for parentsEach month we gather online (Zoom) with parents and catechists to explore our faith.
