Catholic Women's League

Catholic Women’s League (CWL)

The Catholic Women’s League or CWL was founded in 1906. We are a worldwide organisation, united in friendship and love, where members use and develop their talents in projects for the world, the nation, the diocese and the parish. Our patron is Saint Margaret Clitheroe.

Membership of the Exeter Section is made up of parishioners from Blessed Sacrament and Sacred Heart parishes in Exeter and Holy Cross in Topsham. We are active in parish life; fundraising through social events and providing support to the parishes when needed.

Our group meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the Parish Room of the Sacred Heart Church South Street Exeter We participate in an annual retreat to Honiton, the annual diocesan CWL pilgrimage to Buckfast Abbey and National pilgrimages.
