Bereavement Support

Forget-me-not-Bereavement Cafe

We invite anyone who has suffered a bereavement of any kind, at any time, to come along to our Cafe for a cup of coffee or tea, cake and a chat. The cafe will be held once a month on a Saturday (every fourth Saturday of the month) at 10.30am in the St Richard Reynolds Centre.

Come along and maybe bring a friend with you who you think would also benefit from making contact with others in a friendly, relaxed cafe. There is no need to book – just come along to our first morning on Saturday 23 March.

We look forward to seeing you.

The Bereavement Journey

Starts 12th October 2024 10.00am

The Bereavement Journey is a series of films and discussion groups that gently guide people bereaved at any time through the most common aspects of grief and bereavement, enabling them to process the implications for themselves and discern next steps. If you have been bereaved and feel you may not have come to terms with your loss, we hope you will benefit from attending The Bereavement Journey which we will be running in the St Richard Reynolds Centre at the Blessed Sacrament church. This journey offers 15 films over 7 sessions, offered weekly. Guests are placed in groups of 6-8 for discussion following the films and volunteers guide them in exploring their loss, aided by a Guest Manual (for a suggested donation of £15).

Anyone 18 years+ for whom someone important has died at any time is welcome.

Run by The Blessed Sacrament, the course uniquely offers a final session on faith questions in bereavement, provided from a Christian perspective. This follows the main sessions and is optional, making The Bereavement Journey suitable for people of any faith or none. For more information please visit The Bereavement Journey website.

Places have to be booked in advance so if you would like to register on this course, starting on 12th October 2024 at 10.00am, forms are available from the Parish Office 01392 274724 or email exeter-heavitree@prcdtr.org.uk
