Have you ever struggled to answer the question, Why are you a Catholic? Have you ever wondered why we believe what we believe? Have you ever asked, Why did I stop learning about my faith when I was a child? Our parishes of Sacred Heart and Blessed Sacrament are together offering a wonderful opportunity to develop and deepen your relationship with God and the Church by exploring our Catholic faith.
We are establishing an adult formation group meeting in person fortnightly, to grow in faith together. Monday 11 October 10.30am–12.30pm at Sacred Heart Tuesday 12 October 7.00–9.00pm at Blessed Sacrament. The sessions will be the same, it’s the day, time and venue that are different. To start us off we’re going to watch and discuss films from Bishop Robert Barron’s ‘Word on Fire’ series. The films cover a wide range of faith themes such as The Mass, The Saints and The Sacraments. Exploring these, together with lively and stimulating conversation will open our minds to the riches of our faith and the treasures of the Church’s teaching.

A weekly opportunity to encounter Jesus Christ through reading and reflecting on scripture. We meet every Wednesday at 2.00pm in small groups to read the Gospel for the coming Sunday and to share personal thoughts and reflections. It’s a wonderful way of preparing for and engaging more fully with the themes and message of the readings. During the pandemic, we have continued to meet virtually using ‘Zoom’. If you would like to join a Wednesday Word group contact Maria at email@example.com
We look forward to meeting you and journeying together in faith.
